Fresh Raspberries: Nature’s Crystal Meth?

Raspberries and Joy

The husband and I have a little problem with raspberries. We can’t get enough of them.

So, it was with great giddiness today that we finally made it to a real live raspberry farm — High Hopes Acres Berry Farm in Hinckley, MN (a stone’s throw from the Wisconsin border) — where we picked our own for $2.50 a pint box. We picked 7 pintboxes in about 40 minutes.

Finally, with my head shoved in the bushes, I heard Brendan sigh impatiently. “What?” I said, “Can’t I just have a few more minutes to pretend I own a raspberry orchard?”

But he was right, it was time to let the dream go, for now.
