You Know You Live in the Tropics When…

You have two seasons: Rainy and non-rainy.

The rainy season has begun here in Mexico City. And because we’re at 7,500 feet, it’s not exactly a warm, tropical rain:

And hail – a new experience for me. (Yesterday, my first real earthquake. Today, hail. What’s tomorrow going to bring? Holy hay-sus.)

I happened on your blog by chance. My wife and I live in the state of Michoacán. That rain, if I am not mistaken, was a fluke. The rainy season starts in June and runs through September, more or less.

Try to send some of it over in our direction. It would be lovely. We´re parched.

We have a small condo near Lindavista in DF for visits. I could not live in DF full-time. The traffic is too much. And the air. Great for visits, however, and I hope you continue to like it there. Bienvenidos.
