I’m Now TheJoyVictory.com

Dear readers, you don’t have to take any action, just a heads up that your browser URL bar IS functioning correctly. I went ahead and coughed up the dough to move my blog to a private domain, a very easy thing to do if you use WordPress.

It doesn’t offer a lot of benefit to me. It’s really more advantageous to someone running a business or media site who wants to use WordPress as their content management system, but wants a custom domain name to slap on their business cards, etc.

I’ve been wanting to do this for ages but wasn’t sure if I would be able to keep my old blog history etc but it looks like you can…will have to try and figure it out now.

Yeah, it’s so simple to do it almost fooled me. The hardest part is just to be patient while the blog domain switches over and “propagates” the new domain. To purchase the domain upgrade, go to “upgrades” on your dashboard and select the “add a domain” button. On the back-end, it looks the same, no changes. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask me! (I can help with “Support” questions as I’m on staff at WordPress.)
