Surveys: Latinos show more interest in environmental conservation than whites

This is great to find out, but was kind of a surprise to me!

“(American) Latinos show far more interest in conservation issues and stronger pollution laws than their Anglo counterparts,” according to David Yarnold, president of the National Audubon Society.

And to top it off, “Latin American participation in the annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count — which has become an invaluable scientific tool in measuring the health of bird populations and the effects of climate change — is growing rapidly, particularly in Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador.”
